Product Registration

To use your VIProducer plugins, you must first install the UVI Workstation if you don’t already have it on your system. It is a very powerful engine and can be downloaded at uvi.net/downloads. Once the UVI Workstation has been installed on your system, you can proceed to installing and authorizing your new plugins from VIProducer.

 

Step 1:

Once you have purchased your plugins, you will find your license code and a download link in the ‘View Orders’ section of your VIProducer account.

 

Step 2:

Step 2: To register your licenses you’ll need to have an iLok account. If you don’t already have one, register  at www.ilok.com. Next, enter your serial number and iLok ID on the Product Registration page.

Step 2b:

Open the iLok license manager (Download here if you haven’t already: https://www.ilok.com/#!license-manager)  and under the ‘Available’ tab will be able to transfer your product licenses to up to three different machines or iLoks.

 

Step 3:

You can now download your plugins in the ‘View Downloads’ section of your VIProducer account. Save this file to your Desktop for ease.

 

Step 4:

The file will appear on your desktop as a .zip file. You need to double click on it to unzip it. Another file will then appear on your desktop with a .ufs extension.

 

Step 5:

This file needs to be copied to  UVISoundBanks. 

The default location for UVI soundbanks is:

– OS X: [system disk]/Library/Application Support/UVISoundBanks/
– Windows 32-bit: C://Program Files (x86)/UVISoundBanks/
– Windows 64-bit: C://Program Files/UVISoundBanks/

Your plugin is now installed and ready to be loaded from the Sound Banks section of the UVI Workstation.

This license expressly forbids re-sale or other distribution of these stem sessions, either as they exist, or any  modification thereof.  You cannot sell, loan, rent, lease, assign or transfer all or any of the enclosed stem sessions to another user, or for use in any competitive product.

Where do I find my serial number?

After placing an order at viproducer.com, you will receive a “Your Serial Number(s) ref. XXXXXX-XXXXXXXX” email. If not, please check your “Spam” folder.

Serial numbers are also included in your viproducer.com account

How do I access my instrument in UVI Workstation?

Instruments are accessible through the browser. They can be located manually in your systems file structure via the browser’s “Devices” tab or conveniently aggregated from multiple locations under the browser’s “Soundbanks” tab.

To add an instrument location to the “Soundbanks” tab:
1. Create a folder and place your UFS file(s) in it
2. Launch UVI Workstation
3. Go to [Preferences > Sound Banks]
4. Add the folder you created in Step 1
5. Restart the application
Your instrument should now appear in the browser’s “Soundbanks” tab.

The default location for UVI soundbanks is:
– OS X: [system disk]/Library/Application Support/UVISoundBanks/
– Windows 32-bit: C://Program Files (x86)/UVISoundBanks/
– Windows 64-bit: C://Program Files/UVISoundBanks/

How many devices can I authorize my library to?

Products registered support authorization on up to 3 devices concurrently.

To verify how many authorizations your license allows and how many you have remaining please refer to your iLok license manager.

How do I transfer my license from one device to another?

1. Launch iLok License Manager and sign in
2. Locate your license
3. Right-click on it and select “Deactivate” – the license will appear in the “Available” tab
4. Drag and drop the pending license to your computer or your iLok dongle

How do I download my license to a computer?

1. Download and install the latest iLok License Manager
2. Launch the app. Log into your account using your iLok User ID and password
3. Go to “Available” tab
4. Drag and drop the pending license to your computer

How do I download my license to an iLok dongle?

1. Download and install the latest iLok License Manager
2. Launch the app. Log into your account using your iLok User ID and password
3. Plug your iLok dongle into your computer. Your registered iLok will appear in the Locations list on the left of your screen
4. Go to “Available” tab
5. Drag and drop the pending license to your iLok dongle
